Arta Jēkabsone

Arta Jekabsone is a singer, composer and arranger originally from a small town called Kandava in Latvia and she moved to the United States to attend the New School for Jazz Performance. She has performed internationally at jazz festivals including Enjoy Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, and Berne Jazz Festival, and she has, to date, two records out- her debut record “Light” as well as “Yesterday Still Lies Between the Floor Boards”. Arta’s musical horizons can be described as quote “Starting with simple Latvian folk song melodies, harmonies and structures and can reach to something more complex, more toward the world of improvisation.”

Baden Goyo

Baden is a pianist, composer and arranger originally from Venezuela. He graduated from the Lino Gallardo music school and is considered one of the youngest and most promising figures in the Venezuelan Jazz scene. He recently collaborated with Ruben Blades as a composer on Blades’ album “Salsa Big Band” which was awarded 2 Latin Grammys as well as 1 Grammy for Best Latin Tropical Album. He has his own record out as well called “Magenta” under the Baden Goyo trio.
